MINIBUS DRIVER

Job Description

MINIBUS DRIVER JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and passionate individual to join our team. You can make a difference by working with us and helping your community!

Our services include school and adult social care transport, shopping services (door-to-door service known as Easylink), days out and private hiring.

We are always looking for minibus drivers to join our Bank Staff team to work on a flexible basis providing cover for our staff when they are on holiday or due to sickness.

The ideal candidate will need to be available from 7am to 9am and 2pm to 4pm MONDAY TO FRIDAY. 

ESSENTIAL

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least two years and it must include Category D1 entitlement.
  • Not more than one conviction for a major traffic offence (as defined in Community Transport’s Policy Statement) for at least two years.
  • Be successfully assessed and certificated as a minibus driver through the Community Transport Association’s MiDAS scheme (training course will be provide by us).
  • Honest and reliable.
  • Ability to work flexibly, as part of a team.
  • Awareness of and positive attitude towards disability issues.
  • Awareness of and positive attitude towards equality issues.

DESIRABLE

  • Clean driving licence.
  • Good accident record.
  • Extensive experience of driving minibuses or comparable large vehicles.
  • Personal experience of disability and equality issues.

CRIMINAL RECORD BUREAU CHECK (DBS)

Appointment to this post is subject to the post holder satisfactorily passing an Enhanced level Criminal Record Bureau check.

Job Type: Part-time – Monday – Friday

20 hours per week

Salary: £12 per hour

PASSENGER ASSISTANT

Job Description

This position involves transporting children to and from school and the ideal candidate will need to be available from 7am to 9am and 2pm to 4pm MONDAY TO FRIDAY. 

ESSENTIAL

  • Honest and reliable.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a challenging situation
  • Ability to work flexibly, as part of a team.
  • Awareness of and positive attitude towards disability issues.
  • Awareness of and positive attitude towards equality issues.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience within a passenger assistant role is preferable but not essential
  • Experience working with children or adults with disabilities.
  • Personal experience of disability and equality issues.

Part-time hours: 20 per week – £11 per hour
